2.0 box office collection day 8: Rajinikanth's film ends extended week one on a good note; earns Rs 7.75 crore

The box office collection of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 (Hindi) held very well on its weekdays, despite the movie receiving a mixed response from the film critics and the audience. Day 8 of 2.0 which was a Thursday saw a minor drop than usual as it made Rs 7.75 crore at theomestic box office. With a fair amount of money coming its way even on weekdays, 2.0 ended its extended week one of the 8-days on a good note earning Rs 139.75 crore at the box office.
Tweeting about the business of 2.0 (Hindi), film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#2Point0 has an EXCELLENT *extended* Week 1... Week 2 holds the key... Will give an idea of its *lifetime biz*... Thu 20.25 cr, Fri 18 cr, Sat 25 cr, Sun 34 cr, Mon 13.75 cr, Tue 11.50 cr, Wed 9.50 cr, Thu 7.75 cr. Total: ₹ 139.75 cr. India biz. By making Rs 139.75 crore at the box office, 2.0 has also become the highest grossing film for Akshay Kumar of all time, inflation unadjusted. Akshay's 2017 hit Toilet - Ek Prem Katha was his biggest earner until now at Rs 134.22 crore. It is now to be seen if 2.0 go past Rs 200 crore in Hindi and if Akshay Kumar will be able to finally hit a double century at the box office or not.
Talking about the overall business of 2.0, the Rajinikanth starrer has made more than Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office in just 7 days.
